The first question which the priest and the Levite asked was: 'If I stop to help this man, what will happen to me?' But... the good Samaritan reversed the question: 'If I do not stop to help this man, what will
happen to him?'
Martin Luther King, Jr.
What is the first question when you helped someone?
Will it be.... what will I be after helping?
or will it be.... How will he/she does if I help?
This has shown the mindset of people demanding for a payback. You must have experienced that while you were having meal in a restaurant. some people will walk over and beg for money, regardless is old folks, young fellow, or those with files on hand. They always refused to donate because they believed those are people who took advantage of the name of charity and utilized those pitiful people to earn for them!
However, I have a different mind, I will give RM 1 when i saw them, RM 1 to me is only not buying a slice of fruit, but I will donate this RM 1 if this could make his less punished. I will give more while I am financially capable.
Many would asked me: Why don't you donate to those (legal) organization instead of (illegal) beggar? Well I will definitely do if I am financially capable, or else i will help them physically too.
Like its said by Martin Luther: if i do not stop to help this man, what will happen to him? Our simple sincerity could be the largest grateful to them. If you are not thinking of payback at the very first, one day it will goes to you, because the good ones are always have good returns.
